Every day newspaper articles, politicians and TV pundits regale us non
stop with a litany of the disasters which loom over the world. Right wing
protesters throw " Tea Parties" and the leaders of the "Progressive" Left
rationalize every attempt possible to create the Socialist Republic of
America. It's crazy time on over drive.
Where are the American people in this turbulent time and what are they
doing? They are doing what we have always done- coping with bad
situations and coming up with real solutions to address the problems right
where they live. That's what this blog is all about. Real American heroes
dealing with the mess our leaders ( of both parties) have laid in our laps.
Here are some hard truths. The politicians and bankers have spent us,the
real country, into bankruptcy. We face 12 trillion dollars worth of debt that
WE, The People, are going to have to make good.
The President and his 500+ crony crew on The Hill aren't worried about it
because they don't have to pay it. So long as Welfare,Gay Marriage, and a
host of other non-issue social issues don't get touched or a woman's right
to murder her children aren't impacted, why it's all good.
On the other side of the spectrum we have runaway military spending and
some other (and equally irrelevant) social issues. I love God and revere
the 10 commandments but don't we really have more pressing problems to
consider? Add to this the INSANE amount of pork being passed on both
sides of the aisle and we can only conclude that it's time to take away their
check book.
Call ,write and email your elected officials and demand a moratorium on
ANY new spending by the government and the passage of a balanced
budget amendment. Every state government is responsible to the residents
of those states an is compelled to keep spending in balance with revenues.
The Federal government must learn to live within it's means. Just as we,as
citizens are expected to. If enough of us burn up those phone lines and jam
their in-boxes then the will get the message. America is Pissed and We
Aren't going to tolerate any more waste from Our employees. Mr.
President, you and all the members of congress work for us.
